Toronto's Seaton Village Open Tuning Festival, June 21, 2014

Spadina Station performed two sets in this first annual neighbourhood festival, which featured random acts of music in places including porches, driveways, and as seen here, garages.

Our original arrangements of our Rock Lobster/Time Warp mash-up and Girl Talk were popular hits in our 35-minute sets.

Annex Bloor Street Festival,
June 9, 2013

Spadina Station's 35-minute set was full of crowd-pleasing tunes, including 4 original arrangements by bass Stephen Reich. Unique settings of Stairway to HeavenTime After Time and jazz classic I've Got You Under My Skin were favourites. Blue Moon and Up On the Roof showed how the group also rocks "street-corner" a cappella.

Our audience laughed and sang along through Stephen's fun arrangement of Those Were The Days - A Tribute to 70s Television.

Our thanks go out to Harriet Wichin at the Miles Nadal JCC for her mentorship, encouragement and allowing us to really get our act together by giving us free rehearsal space for our first three years!
